Vikasnagar: At the age when children should have copy books in their hands, at this young age they have a tea kettle somewhere, and somewhere there are false utensils, some child pretends to be Chhotu and cleans the tables in hotels and dhabas with a cloth in his hand. Used to be. The childhood of such children is dying sobbing in these hotels and restaurants. Who is responsible for this? The relatives of such children or the hotel and restaurant operators who provide more work for less money?
A sensitive issue of child labor has come to light. In which children are being made to work at a dhaba in front of the gate of Dhakrani Court. This child laborer alias Chhotu is not only making tea but also supplying tea in the court premises. The question is that where would the lessons of law be taught more than in the courtroom and there would hardly be any place where the rules and regulations would be followed more than in the courtroom.
It would be considered ironical that officials keep coming and going in the court every day. In such a situation, the question is important that why does no officer pay attention to this? Why are Child Welfare Department officials unable to take action against these dhaba operators? Why are the officials ignoring the atrocities being committed on suffocated children? The reason for this has to be found.
Neither the Labor Department can reach these child laborers who are sacrificing their childhood, nor does the administration take any care of them. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is meaningless for such children. Dhaba operators directly contact the families of the children, lure them with money, buy the children and employ them to work for them. The parents of most of the child laborers collect the daily wage from the hotel owner. Some children don’t even know what their wages are. The child laborers, who are afraid of the hotel owner, cannot escape this hell even if they try.
