Major Judicial Step Clears Path for Early Resolution of Thano Mosque Case
Significant High Court Order Following Detailed Arguments by Salman Khurshid

Dehradun/Nainital: During today’s hearing in the widely discussed Thano Mosque case of Dehradun, the Hon’ble High Court of Uttarakhand at Nainital heard detailed submissions from the mosque side, presented by Senior Supreme Court Advocate Salman Khurshid. He was accompanied by Advocates Fuzail Ayyubi, Ibad Mushtaq, Akanksha, and High Court Advocate Shankar.
During the proceedings, the mosque side firmly presented its case before the Court, relying on various documents and legal facts. After hearing arguments from both parties, the Hon’ble High Court passed an important order directing the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) to clarify within one week the specific documents required for the approval of a building plan, including that of a religious structure.
The Court further directed that the matter be resolved in accordance with the law within a stipulated timeframe and instructed that the dispute be disposed of within three months from the date of the order, ensuring a fair and timely resolution.
The Muslim Seva Sangathan and the mosque side welcomed the High Court’s order and expressed confidence that, under the Court’s supervision, the matter would be resolved fairly on the basis of all available facts, records, and relevant documents.
Representatives of the organization stated that they have full faith in the judiciary and are hopeful that justice will prevail through a decision based on truth, evidence, and the rule of law.
