For the first time so many women volunteers in any event

In National Games, daughters are sweating it out not only inside the field but also outside. They are giving proof of their fighting spirit. These daughters are the ones who have been deployed as volunteers in important arrangements of National Games. 1053 such women volunteers have been put on duty in the entire state. For the first time in Uttarakhand, such an event is being organized in which participation of such a large number of women volunteers is being ensured.

The organization of 38th National Games in Uttarakhand is giving an important message to the country and the world in many other fields apart from sports. Direct association of more than one thousand women volunteers with National Games is creating a beautiful picture of women empowerment. National Sports Secretariat had done more than thirty thousand registrations to become volunteers. After the preliminary examination and training, 2451 volunteers were attached to the arrangements in the entire state. Out of these, the number of male volunteers is 1398. Of the total volunteers deployed, 57.4 percent are male volunteers, while 42.96 percent are female volunteers. All these volunteers are general, who have been deployed in tasks like parking, bringing and taking players, assisting during medal ceremonies. Apart from these, special volunteers associated with the National Federation of Sports of India are also contributing separately. Considering their sports background, they have been directly attached to sports activities.

Mansi, a resident of Kotdwar, is studying Media and Mass Communication from Doon University. She is also a volleyball player. She says – very few such opportunities are available. I did not want to let this opportunity go. It is a big deal that I have become a part of the National Games as a volunteer. Ridhima, a resident of Dehradun, also says the same. She says – one gets exposure by joining such a big event. Apart from this, after finishing her duty, she is also able to watch other matches. Ridhima plays basketball. Sneha Arya, a resident of Gauchar-Chamoli, says – it is a matter of pride to be associated with the big event of National Games.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that we are constantly seeing the passion and courage of daughters in the National Games. Daughters have performed excellently in various sports and won medals. Apart from playing, daughters are actively contributing in their respective roles in making this entire event successful. They are cooperating shoulder to shoulder in all the arrangements, this is commendable.
