Dehradun-Harela festival was also celebrated with great enthusiasm in Arabic madrasas. Tree plantation was done in Madrasa Anwarul Quran of Dehradun. Madrasa Board Chairman Mufti Shammoon Qasmi, who arrived as the chief guest in the program, was warmly welcomed by the Madrasa management by giving a bouquet.
On this occasion, Madrasa Board Chairman Mufti Shammoon Qasmi said that Harela program is a program of greenery, which is being celebrated with great enthusiasm in Arabic madrasas today. He said that Harela festival is giving a new direction to the country and the whole world in the field of environmental protection. On this occasion, all Arabic madrasas should take a pledge to carry forward the tradition of folk festival Harela dedicated to environmental protection and to make nature green. He said that under environmental protection, we should plant trees. Trees provide us oxygen and also provide fruits, flowers, medicines, timber, fuel etc. On this occasion, Madrasa manager Noor Ilahi said that today people are cutting trees for personal gain and are not planting trees, which is causing inequality in nature. Environmental programs are being run by the government to remove inequality. At the same time, prominent social worker Ashraf Hashmi said that planting trees is very important to save nature. Trees have been planted on Harela festival in Arabic Madrasa. Ashraf Hashmi said that to save nature, Harela festival is also celebrated with great enthusiasm in Arabic Madrasas. On this occasion, Madrasa manager Noor Ilahi also planted trees.
