Dehradun – BJP is seen in action mode regarding the civic elections. The organization is working every day from the selection of candidates to increasing the support base of the party. In this sequence, the entry of veteran leaders is being done in the party. Before the civic elections, BJP has given a big blow to Congress in Garhwal. Along with this, BJP has also included former Srinagar Municipality President Vipin Maithani in the party.

Formal membership was given to former Municipality President Vipin Maithani in the presence of State President Mahendra Bhatt and Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat at the Dehradun party headquarters. On this occasion, independent candidate Asha Upadhyay, who lost the Municipality President election by a small margin in the past, Congress councilor Jagat Negi from Rishikesh and former Congress candidate Pushkar Bangwal have also joined the BJP.

On this occasion, the state president welcomed all the new members by garlanding them and tying the party’s sash to them. In his address, he congratulated all the new members and urged them to get involved in the civic elections. He said, the continuous arrival of people from different parties shows that the wind in the state is blowing in favor of the BJP. He urged that in the first month of 2025, everyone has to work together so that we are able to break all the previous records of victory in the civic elections as well.
