Be Kind to Your Mind Marathon organized at Dr. K.K.B.M. Subharti Hospital

Dehradun. The “Be Kind to Your Mind Marathon” was organized on the occasion of Uttarakhand Foundation Day under the joint aegis of Gautam Buddha Medical College and the affiliated Dr. K.K.B.M. Subharti Hospital, Jhajra, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and the State Health Authority, Government of Uttarakhand. Hundreds of students and staff from the university and hospital participated in the race, promoting unity in diversity and spreading the message of unity and patriotism.

The program was inaugurated by the chief guest, Sahaspur MLA Sahdev Singh Pundir, and the university’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Himanshu Aeran, by flagging off the event. Sahdev Singh Pundir said that such events strengthen the spirit of discipline, patriotism, and national unity among the youth. Sahadevji praised the efforts being made by Subharti University and Hospital in the fields of education and medicine.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Himanshu Aeran said that physical and mental health are the first steps to a successful life, and Subharti University is committed to promoting this spirit.

The approximately 5-kilometer race began at Jhajhra Subharti Hospital, went to Sudhowala Chowk, and ended back at Subharti Hospital.

In the competition, Ms. Ayush Anand and Ms. Ayushi Saini won first place in the student category, while Dr. Abuzar Jameel and Dr. Rupa Hanspal won first place in the faculty category. Medals and certificates were presented to the winners. During the program, all participants took an oath regarding national unity and mental health.

On this occasion, Principal Dr. Anil Kumar Mehta said that unity is the foundation of the country’s strength and development, and through this marathon, the youth have set a wonderful example of patriotism.

The main organizer of the marathon was Dr. Suchit Kumar, and Dr. Lokesh Tyagi, Dr. Prashant Bhatnagar, Ritesh Srivastava, Dr. Anubha Agarwal, etc. contributed. Jitendra Tyagi, Lal Ji Asthana, Anil Rohilla, Mrs. Bhavna Sharma, Ravi, Dheeraj, Rahul, Johnny, etc. supported the program.
