Congress Moves to Strengthen Grassroots Organisation in Presence of Rao Sher Mohammad
Newly Appointed Office-Bearers Receive Appointment Letters; Monthly Review Meetings to Be Held on the First Saturday

PIRAN KALIYAR: The Congress party has emphasised the need to strengthen its organisation at the grassroots level, improve coordination among party workers and take its policies and programmes to the wider public. The focus came during a monthly meeting held at the Congress camp office in Piran Kaliyar on Wednesday, where organisational strengthening and the responsibilities of party office-bearers were discussed.
The meeting was attended by MLA and District Congress President Haji Furkan Ahmad and Congress State General Secretary Rao Sher Mohammad. During the meeting, appointment letters were distributed to newly appointed office-bearers. They were also welcomed and honoured with floral garlands.
Congress State General Secretary Rao Sher Mohammad’s presence was a key feature of the meeting, which focused on strengthening the party’s organisational structure and encouraging greater participation among workers.
Discussions centred on accelerating organisational activities, improving coordination among party members and bringing more people into the party’s fold. Office-bearers were urged to remain active in their respective areas, establish direct contact with the public and raise issues concerning local residents.
The meeting stressed that organisational strength depends not merely on appointments and designations but also on sustained engagement with people. Party workers were encouraged to listen to public grievances, understand local problems and bring issues of public interest to the attention of the organisation.
Rao Sher Mohammad’s participation highlighted the importance attached to organisational coordination, active grassroots engagement and the effective communication of the Congress party’s policies and ideas.
An important decision was taken to ensure regular reviews of organisational activities and better coordination among party workers. It was decided that a monthly meeting would be held on the first Saturday of every month.
These meetings will provide a platform to review organisational work, discuss ongoing activities and improve coordination between office-bearers and workers. The initiative is intended to bring greater regularity to party activities and help local units work in a more organised manner.
Regular meetings are also expected to provide an opportunity for office-bearers to discuss their responsibilities, assess ongoing work and plan future organisational programmes.
The distribution of appointment letters to newly appointed office-bearers was another important part of the meeting. The new appointees were encouraged to take their responsibilities seriously and participate actively in party programmes and activities.
The Congress organisation faces the continuing task of maintaining unity among grassroots workers, raising public issues effectively and communicating party policies to a wider audience. Against this backdrop, the meeting in Piran Kaliyar focused on strengthening internal coordination and establishing a regular mechanism for reviewing organisational work.
With monthly review meetings now scheduled for the first Saturday of every month, the party aims to maintain regular communication among its workers and provide a common platform to discuss organisational progress and future activities.
