Devbhoomi Patrakar Union, Regd. Biennial election concluded

Anil Verma elected as President and Dr. V.D. Sharma elected as General Secretary

*Dehradun* In the biennial election 2025-2026 of Devbhoomi Patrakar Union (Regd.) Uttarakhand held today at the local Agarwal Dharamshala, senior journalist Anil Verma was declared elected as State President and Dr. V.D. Sharma as State General Secretary.

Making the above announcement, Election Officer Dr. Chandra Singh Tomar “Mayank” and Ashok Khanna jointly informed that apart from these, Subhash Chandra Joshi and Kunwar Raj Asthana were elected as Senior Vice Presidents, Shashikant Mishra as Treasurer, Siddhnath Upadhyay and Mahendra Singh Negi as Secretary, Mrs. Sarojini Semwal and Deepak Dhiman as Organization Secretary, Mrs. Premlata Bharatari and Rajesh Bhatnagar as Publicity Secretary.

Apart from these, Mr. Vijay Jaiswal, Bhuvan Upadhyay, Sanjeev Sharma, Tejram Semwal, Harendra Prasad, Rajesh Sharma, Amit Sehgal, Dr. Jamshed Usmani, Sanjay Garg, Ashok Kumar Pandey were elected as executive members.

Before the election, former president Vijay Jaiswal presented the presidential thanks, former treasurer Siddhnath Upadhyay presented the income-expenditure audit report and general secretary Dr. V.D. Sharma presented the biennial progress report.

The newly elected president expressed gratitude to both the election officers for conducting the election in a peaceful manner. Along with this, the members present were also thanked. A large number of journalists from all over the state were present in the general meeting and election process.
