Dehradun – Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly has taken a new and historic step towards digital system. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the e-Vidhan Sabha application, which will now make the proceedings of the Assembly completely paperless. The aim of this initiative is to improve transparency, efficiency and functioning. All the proceedings of the Assembly will be conducted digitally through the e-Vidhan Sabha application. This will save paper and the processes will be executed more smoothly. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami described this initiative as an important achievement for the state. Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this will not only bring transparency in parliamentary work, but will also improve the functioning of MLAs and officials. They will be able to submit their questions, proposals, notices and other important documents online and will be able to track the proceedings of the Assembly live. Digital copies of all the necessary documents will be available, which will make the process faster and easier. With this new digital system, all the processes of the Assembly will become more effective and transparent. The decision-making process will be expedited and it will be easier to deliver accurate information to the public.Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan said that this initiative is a major success towards administrative reform and better use of technology. Now all the documents of the House will be available in digital form, due to which the MLAs will not need files and papers. MLAs will now be able to submit their questions, proposals and notices online, which will make the process more transparent and timely. MLAs will receive information about all the proceedings of the Assembly in real-time. The government is considering this initiative as a strong step towards the digital future of the state. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that this initiative will make Uttarakhand more technologically capable.
At the same time, the opposition welcomed this system and also reiterated the demand to extend the duration of the session. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that e-Vidhan Sabha is a good initiative, but it is not right to keep the duration of the session to three days. He suggested that this digital system should be used by giving more time to the MLAs.
The digital transformation of the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha is a historic initiative, which will make the process of legislative work in the state more transparent and effective. The proceedings will be conducted smoothly with the e-Vidhan Sabha application, which will benefit both the MLAs and the public.
