Five Muslim SPOs assisted the police during the entire Kanwar Yatra

Mangalore (Akil Ahmed) Kanwar Yatra has been completed safely. Haridwar Police has played an important role in ensuring the successful completion of the Kanwar Yatra. Haridwar Police had to work hard to ensure smooth conduct of the Kanwar Yatra. At the Mangalore bus stand, be it rain or scorching heat, during the entire Kanwar Yatra, five Muslim Special Police Officers (SPO) from Mangalore were seen continuously assisting the police with batons in their hands to ensure smooth flow of traffic. Although they are not paid any honorarium by the government or the police department, yet every year these people are constantly engaged in assisting the police from the beginning of the Kanwar Yatra to its end.

Among these SPOs, Dr. Moin, Mohammad Salman, Mohammad Nadeem, Wahid, and Shamim were seen continuously performing their duties at the Mangalore bus stand. These people say that even though they do not get any money for their hard work, after the Kanwar Yatra is over they feel happy that they have done the responsibility given to them by the police very well. When they are honored by the police, it is a big reward for them.
