MP Ravi Kishan Shukla became the President of Olympic sport Lacrosse Association of India

Gorakhpur- Elections of Lacrosse Association of India, the representative body of Lacrosse, which has been included to be played in the Los Angeles Olympics, were held for 4 years at Vivek Hotel in Gorakhpur. Representatives from 22 states participated in the elections. Gorakhpur’s Sadar MP and superstar actor Ravi Kishan Shukla was unanimously elected unopposed as the President of the Indian Lacrosse Association. Asia Lacrosse Executive Director Chris Geno joined the Indian Lacrosse Association elections online from Japan as an observer.

He congratulated the elected members of the Indian Lacrosse Association.

Among other elected officials of the Indian Lacrosse Association, Vijay Mipun was elected chairman, Naviz Alam general secretary, Rajkumar Kaithwas treasurer and MP Ravi Kishan Shukla joined the meeting online and greeted everyone and assured to get the lacrosse sport recognized by the Indian Olympic Association and the Sports Ministry as soon as possible and also assured to include it in Khelo India. Along with this, he announced to organize national and international lacrosse competitions in Gorakhpur, the holy land of Guru Gorakhnath. Apart from these, Tauseef Ahmed Lari was elected to the post of CEO and Saurabh Betal to the post of COO. The election process was conducted under the supervision of Election Officer Alok Dwivedi and Advocate Yashveer Singh. People from 22 states including Tripura, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajasthan, Odisha, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat participated in the election. Giving the above information, Tauseef Ahmed Lari CEO said that with the arrival of Sadar MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, the lacrosse sport will progress at a very fast pace in India.
