Roorkee:- The chairman of the Uttarakhand Madrasa Board often spews venom against madrasas. Once again he has spewed venom against madrasas. The Uttarakhand Arabic Madrasa Board has said that the demand of the chairman of the Child Protection Commission to investigate Arabic madrasas is correct. Uttarakhand Madrasa Board Chairman Mufti Shamoon Qasmi, who reached a reception at the Arabic Madrasa in Mangalore, Roorkee, said that the Child Protection Commission is talking about investigating such madrasas in which there are large-scale irregularities or which are not recognized by the Madrasa Board. Defending the Child Protection Commission, he said that the Child Protection Commission seriously looks into the children studying in madrasas to see if their rights are being violated. This is a routine process. They keep investigating such madrasas from time to time. He said that many madrasas are doing wrong things. Who will not be spared. Mufti Shamoon Qasmi said that very poor children study in Arabic madrasas and the teachers here are paid very low honorarium. Now, along with Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, English, Science and Maths are also being taught in madrasas. The work of madrasas will not be affected by the Child Protection Commission. He said that madrasa teachers get very low honorarium. It is worth mentioning that the Child Protection Commission has repeatedly demanded an inquiry into Arabic madrasas, due to which there is panic among the Arabic madrasa managers of Uttarakhand. On the other hand, people are also angry against Nazim Madrasa Mufti Masoom for organizing Mufti Shamoon Qasmi’s program in the madrasa.
