Roorkee-Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that the BJP government has badly disappointed the farmers, labourers and small class traders with the budget of the central government and the budget of the state of Uttarakhand. He said that the BJP’s central government and the state government of Uttarakhand are constantly doing anti-farmer work.
While talking to journalists at a hotel on Delhi Road on Friday, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat lashed out against the central government and the state government. He said that the interests of farmers and laborers are not in the budget of the BJP government of Uttarakhand. He said that the BJP government is constantly ignoring the farmers and laborers and is bent on harassing them. He said that the sugarcane season is about to end but the price of sugarcane has not been declared yet. He said that during the Congress government, the state has always given more sugarcane price than other states. He said that the price of sugar has increased in the markets but the purchase price of sugarcane is not increasing, he said that the price of sugarcane should be Rs 450 per quintal. Harish Rawat said that the Dhami government should make a plan to get money from Iqbalpur mill. He called the government’s intention to close Iqbalpur and Doiwala sugar mills and called UCC an attack on the culture of Uttarakhand and said that the statement of Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal hurt the basic sentiment of the state. He said that UCC works to destroy our values. This is an attack on Sanatan culture and values, Sanatan Dharma never recognizes evil practices like live-in relationships.
