Shooting coach Subhash Rana got Dronacharya Award

Dehradun – Uttarakhand’s para shooting coach Subhash Rana was awarded the Dronacharya Award. President Draupadi Murmu honored him by giving the award. There is a wave of happiness and pride across the state on him getting the honor. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Sports Minister Rekha Arya and other prominent people have congratulated Rana.

CM Dhami said that it is a proud moment for all of us that Subhash Rana, a resident of Devbhoomi and para shooting coach, was honored with the Dronacharya Award. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to him for the historic achievement.

Subhash Rana, a resident of Chilamu village of Nainbagh area in Uttarakhand, has been the coach of the para shooting team in the country. He has won four international gold and two silver medals. He participated in the World Shooting Championship held in Italy in 1994 and Spain in 1998. As a coach, he trained the shooting team that participated in Tokyo Paralympics 2020. This team won five medals in the Paralympics.

On this occasion, Uttarakhand Sports Minister Rekha Arya said, “Hearty congratulations to the son of Devbhoomi, Subhash Rana, on receiving the Dronacharya Award from President Draupadi Murmu. Subhash has done a great job with great dedication in grooming the para athletes of the country. Especially in the year 2020, under his guidance in the Tokyo Paralympic Games, the players won five medals for the country. By achieving this honor, he has made the people of Uttarakhand proud.
