Dehradun. Tributes were paid to the deceased members on the first day of the special session of the Uttarakhand Assembly. A condolence message has been given on the demise during the proceedings of the House on the first day. After this, the proceedings of the House have been adjourned till 11 am on 6th February. Before this, a sitting and the message of demise of 5 former MLAs were read. Recently 6 leaders have passed away, this includes one sitting MLA and 5 former MLAs. The obituary message of BSP MLAs Sarwat Karim Ansari, Kunwar Raja Narendra Singh, Dhaniram Singh Negi, Mohan Singh Rawat (villager), Kishan Singh Tagadi and Puranchandra Sharma was read out in the House. First, Leader of the House Pushkar Singh Dhami read the death message.
Leader of the House Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is a sad time to pay tribute to so many deceased leaders together. Dhami said that I had relations with BSP MLA Sarwat Karim Ansari since I was not even an MLA, the void created by his departure cannot be filled. The development works started by him in Mangalore Assembly will be taken forward. Remembering Mohan Singh Rawat (villager), CM said that his entire life was spent in simplicity, the villager, who was one of the founding members of BJP, worked as a Sandh campaigner for 15 years. CM Dhami also remembered late Kunwar Raja Narendra Singh, Dhaniram Singh Negi, Kishan Singh Tagadi and Puranchandra Sharma Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, while paying tribute to all the deceased leaders, said that in 2012, he got a chance to work with Sarwat Karim Ansari, he had the skill of saying serious things in simple language. BSP leader Mohammad Shahzad said that Sarwat Karim used to sit on the seat next to me in the House, it seems that he is still nearby. The entire proceedings of the first day focused on the death message only. During the death message, Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Cabinet Minister and all the Assembly members expressed their condolences. The leaders of the ruling party and the opposition also placed before the people in the House all the memories related to the deceased leaders.
Apart from this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prem Chand Agarwal, Madan Koshik, Ganesh Joshi, Vinod Chamoli, Arvind Pandey, Satpal Maharaj, Pradeep Batra, Brij Bhushan Gerola, Trilok Singh Cheema also shared their memories with all the deceased MLAs.
Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri also remembered the deceased MLAs in the House and said that the tribute and condolences given by the House will be conveyed to the families of the deceased, after which two minutes of silence was observed and the House adjourned till tomorrow.
