Four MLAs, Jamiat Delegation Meet Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Over Issues Related to Maktabs and Madrasas

 Delegation seeks necessary action to resolve issues; Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan assures consideration

Dehradun: A delegation comprising four Uttarakhand MLAs and representatives of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind met Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan in Dehradun to discuss various issues concerning maktabs and madrasas in the state.

The delegation was led by Bhagwanpur MLA Mamta Rakesh, Jhabrera MLA Virendra Kumar Jati, Kaliyar MLA Haji Furqan Ahmad and Laksar MLA Haji Shahzad. During the meeting, the delegation placed several matters related to the functioning and administrative arrangements of maktabs and madrasas before the Chief Secretary and sought necessary steps for their resolution.

The representatives held detailed discussions on issues being faced by these educational institutions and urged the government to address them through dialogue, coordination and a positive approach.

The delegation said that maktabs and madrasas are important institutions associated with the education system and that issues concerning their functioning should be resolved through mutual consultation and proper coordination with the concerned authorities.

Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind Uttarakhand State General Secretary *Maulana Sharafat Ali Qasmi* , *Maulana Qari Shamim* , *Mufti Taufeeq Ilahi* , *Maulana Haroon* and *Mohammad Shahnazar* , among others, were present during the meeting.

The representatives emphasized the need for better coordination between the administration and institutions so that issues related to maktabs and madrasas can be addressed effectively.

Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan listened to the concerns raised by the delegation and assured the representatives that the issues placed before him would be considered and that necessary action would be taken on the relevant matters.

The meeting is being viewed as an important step towards taking up issues concerning maktabs and madrasas at the government level and finding solutions through dialogue and mutual coordination.
