Operation Prahar: Manglaur Police Tighten the Net; Several Wanted Criminals, Including Those with Bounties, Arrested

Manglaur: Under “Operation Prahar”—an initiative launched by the Uttarakhand Police to uphold peace, harmony, and the rule of law within society—rigorous enforcement actions are being carried out on a continuous basis. In this context, the Manglaur Police have, over the past ten days, arrested and incarcerated several dozen wanted individuals—including criminals carrying bounties on their heads.

This swift and decisive action by the police is being widely appreciated by the public. Most of the arrested accused are reported to be involved in heinous crimes; having committed their offenses, they had been living in other states—concealing their identities—in an attempt to evade police capture.

Providing details on the operation, CO (Circle Officer) Manglaur, Abhinay Chaudhary, stated that under the statewide “Operation Prahar,” a concerted drive is underway to apprehend criminals who have been absconding for years. He noted that within a mere ten days, the Manglaur Police have achieved significant success in arresting several criminals with bounties on their heads, as well as various accused individuals who had been absconding for extended periods.

He further added that the police are also continuously taking action against individuals under the *Gunda Act*, as well as against wanted criminals, those with bounties on their heads, and individuals against whom arrest warrants have been issued.

According to CO Abhinay Chaudhary, these enforcement actions will continue in the same vigorous manner going forward, ensuring that the rule of law is firmly established within society and that peace and tranquility are effectively maintained.
