Sadaf Chaudhary, daughter of Roorkee in Uttarakhand and a key member of the Indian Hajj Mission, has achieved a remarkable milestone that has brought pride to the entire nation. Amid the successful management of Hajj 2026 and the international recognition received by the Indian Hajj Mission, Sadaf Chaudhary has made history by becoming the first woman to lead the Office of Pilgrims Affairs in Saudi Arabia.

Managing Hajj, one of the world’s largest and most sensitive religious gatherings, requires exceptional dedication, coordination, and administrative expertise, making her accomplishment even more noteworthy.

Speaking about this historic achievement, Sadaf Chaudhary said:

“I am the first woman to stand in this leadership position on the platform of the Office of Pilgrims Affairs. There has never been a female head of this office in Saudi Arabia before, nor has any woman from any other country been given this opportunity. I am immensely grateful to Allah for allowing me to serve in this sacred place.”

She emphasized that serving Hajj pilgrims is not merely an administrative responsibility but a privilege and an act of devotion. Ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of thousands of pilgrims during the Hajj season has been one of the key priorities of the Indian Hajj Mission.

Recently, at the closing ceremony organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Indian Hajj Mission received two prestigious “Labbaitum Awards” in the category of “Best Hajj Coordination and Communication.”

These awards recognize the outstanding services, efficient management, effective communication, and seamless coordination provided by the Indian Hajj Mission during Hajj 2026. The recognition has further strengthened India’s reputation for excellence in serving pilgrims.
